Scholarship Opportunities For Week 11/10/2025

Looking for ways to fund your college journey? I found four scholarships, each a bit different in terms of focus and application style. They are not giving much but every penny counts. Whether you’re big on writing, looking for something simple, or want to highlight your goals and story, there’s something here for you. Let’s get into it.

1. Abbott & Fenner Scholarship Program

This one gives $1,000 to a student who shows ambition and clarity in their goals.

What you’ll need:
– Write an essay (500–1,000 words) about your educational career, major, life goals, and how your degree/major will help you reach them.
– Deadline: June 8, 2026
– Must be a high-school junior/senior or an enrolled student at an accredited post-secondary institution.

2. Gen & Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

A broad open scholarship for high school, college, or even adult students with big dreams.

What you’ll need:
– U.S. residents who are high school (9–12), college or graduate students, including adult learners. – A personal statement (their decision weighs heavily on this).
– Award amount: First place is $1,000.

3. AFSA Scholarship Program (via American Foreign Service Association)

If you’re the child of a Foreign Service employee (or related to that world), this is a strong one.

What you’ll need:
– For the main scholarships: a parent or guardian who is/was a Foreign Service employee and a member of AFSA.
– For their other contest: even students whose parents are not in Foreign Service can apply to certain essay contests.
– Deadlines: They run on schedule (e.g., March 10 for merit awards, April 18 for financial-aid ones).

4. College JumpStart Scholarship

A merit-based scholarship that rewards love of learning, regardless of major, and doesn’t weigh financial need heavily.

What you’ll need:
– U.S. citizens or legal residents, in high school (10-12), college, or non-traditional student.
– Submit the online application including a personal statement. Financial need or test scores are not required.
– Deadlines: December 31, 2025.

That’s a wrap on this week’s scholarship round-up! Whether you’re all about big awards, passionate about giving back, or excited to share your tech ideas, there’s something here for you. Don’t sleep on those deadlines , Act Fast. Go for it, and good luck!

If you have missed last week’s scholarship post then here it is. Some might have passed their deadline.
